Uses HP 304A toner cartridges which have recently been replaced and has never been used with compatibles. It connects with USB or Ethernet. Usage page shows the total pages printed is just under 25,000 with only 2 jams. This model has been discontinued by HP but is still being supported online. Cartridges are easy to find in store or online. It uses universal printer drivers available for download at HP for Windows (2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, server 2008, and server 2012 in X86 [32 bit] and x64), Mac (OS X, OS X 10.5, OS X 10.6, OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8) and Linux. Great photos (must use multi-purpose or laser paper) and very good print. Downloadable manuals in PDF, 128 MB memory with available slot for up to 256 MB DIMM, available online.
